Thanks for your helpful response. I'm on 750 mg of lithium now, and while it's been great for my depression, it hasn't helped with anxiety, which appears to be the Holy Grail of mood problems, meaning that no one can get ahold of it. EMSAM doesn't treat my anxiety well enough, though it helps some. I guess I'll just have to keep experimenting. I may go back to a low dose of Risperidal. Who knows. I'll just put my energies on getting through the day.--Johann

Short lived effects though in my experience. But if you take it several times a day it may work well and also have an antidepresant effect. I'm currently trying a small dose of Lithium and so far it's very good. Slows things down without being tired. Lithium has a 24hr half life.
