AD Rotation Question

Posted by Jed_G on November 30, 2006, at 4:13:30

Good evening everyone,

I suffer from anxiety issues - helped greatly by the sedating anti depressants such as TCA's but not a great deal from SSRI's which make me feel all numbed out and out of touch with reality.

I find that I respond VERY quickly to AD's like imipramine and amitriptyline but they poop out just as quickly also, so I was thinking of rotating a couple of different TCA's to increase their long term effectiveness.

Would rotating different types of TCA's be a worthwhile exercise, or are they too chemically similar?

Has anyone had similar experiences with SSRI's vs. TCA's?

Cheerio,

John
