My initial startup effects lasted about 2 weeks at 10 mgs. Six months later, I upped to 20 mgs. and experienced some untoward effects for maybe 3-4 days. I was on Klonopin at the time and that lessened the severity - my most problematic symptoms with S/U and increasing were anxiety related.

I'm not sure that's helpful for you but that was my experience.
