When I had it I knew I was having short term memory problems but the holes in my long term memory weren't evident 'til later. For example, it was clear in the first case because I would forget how I had gotten to the hospital. Only after a few embarrassing conversations with friends and family was it clear that I had lost things that had happened years before the ECT.

p.s. I am not anti ECT but I want Blueberry and anyone else considering it to think of it as a desperate, final measure, to be tried when all else fails. I have seen it do good things for people, just not for me.
