I took Trazodone for about 12 years as a sleep aid when I was taking Parnate. I could sleep through anything. Although getting up in the morning was difficult, after a couple of cups of coffee, I had no further ill effects. In fact, I found the sedation of Remeron and Amitryptylene much more difficult to live with. Give the Traz a few more days before you give up on it.Over the years, I took between 50 and 150mg per night, but the amount didn't increase over time. In fact, I was taking less at the end than I was previously.
