Scott had some good advice -- walking, and eating small, frequent meals.
Here are a few eating tricks -- despite my ED, or maybe because of it, I do know something about this sort of thing:
Nuts are a pretty darned good food for snacking. Limit the quantity by measuring what you eat, but they're good for stabilizing blood sugar, and they tend to keep you satisfied for longer periods than almost anything else I can think of.
Salads are good, because you can eat a lot, without taking in a lot of calories. The fat free dressings are no good, but the mid-fat dressings, like Kraft's Light Done Right brand, aren't bad. Check the ingredients, though, to make sure they're not too loaded with sugar.
And for snacking, radishes and pickles are great for satisfying the crunch urge. And the pickles are also great for salty and crunchy.
Also, stay away from diet sodas -- a lot of studies are showing that drinking diet sodas actually leads to more weight gain.
In terms of exercise, walking is great, and I like Pilates a lot. Worth checking for a local class -- and a class is probably better than a video, if only because it helps with motivation.
Good luck, and let us know how it works out.
