I had a strange reaction when I took trazodone to help with sleep while taking clorgyline, a powerful MAOI. I couldn't get my legs to move when I tried to walk. My doctors thought it was a strange presentation of serotonin syndrome. Trazodone does weakly inhibit the reuptake the serotonin, so one would expect a few cases of SS to pop up here and there when combining it with an MAOI.
