I have been on Lamictal before. I didn't have chest pains while on it. My only side effect was a complete lack of affect (like watching a movie and instead of laughing and actually feeling like it was funny, just apathetically and intellectually thinking "oh that would be kind of humorous," and just the opposite with sad situations, "Oh, that would be sad." I was kind of a zombie.)

While I haven't experienced chest pain on Lamictal, I understand how scary it can be to have physical side effects to your psychiatric medications. If it gets too bad, make sure you call a doctor just to be safe. I'm sorry you're going through this. I hope it gets better soon, and that things work out well with your son.
