I found that the sedation factor is stronger if my stomache is empty. It helps me feel more peaceful at night, which is when I can really start freaking out over my life. The one benzo that I really didn't like was Restoril, because it felt like a bludgeon, a real knock-out, and not even in a comforting way. That one was honestly depressing for me.My doc wont prescribe benzos to anyone for any reason. He believes they make depression worse and have no long term positive benefits. My experience with them is the same, they caused me more problems and I am glad I havent used them.
