My doctor at the time, Baron Shopsin, MD, was shocked that it actually worked for the patients he tried it on. Unfortunately, I was not one of his success stories. I don't know if it is currently available anywhere in the world. It was never sold in the US. The only other triazolo that I am aware of is triazolam (Halcion). It is the most potent hypnotic benzodiazepine, but I doubt it has any antidepressant properties.

Prosom (estazolam) is nearly identical to Halcion in structure. One of them just has an extra chlorine on it. I question if GABA drugs like this can demonstrate true antidepressant effects. I tend to think they might be a little illusory, like those of alcohol. I also had a very negative experience with Halcion, in which withdrawal from a high dosage precipitated a severe depression. Maybe Xanax is better, though.Todd
