Bad xperience with wellbutrin = bad with cymbalta?

Posted by blueberry on May 2, 2006, at 18:00:36

I'm just wondering. So full of questions these days. Decisions to make.

Has anyone found that if they had a bad experience with wellbutrin or cymbalta, such as worsened depression or agitation, that the other drug also did that? I'm wondering if one norepeniphrine drug is bad if another might be too. I know mileage varies. Just looking for a trend.

Wellbutrin made me much more depressed.
Milnacipran, an nsri, did the same.
Both however gave me a nice boost on day 1. It was after that the very dark clouds rolled in.
While 1mg to 2mg cymbalta felt good, 5mg brought on a rapid deepening of depression.
Remeron makes me very depressed.

I'm wondering if someone is sensitive to norepinephrine with one med if there is a trend for that sensitivity to carry over to another norepinephrine med. With cymbalta in my radar screen, I can't help but have fears about it based on my history with NE meds.
