I have a lame-o GP who has been not very interested/excited in my well being for nearly a year. Prior to that I hadn't been to the doctor in almost 4 years (anxiety). She (probably, rightly so) put me on zoloft initially which I couldn't sleep on-I suspect all of my issues were related to inosmnia but I can't be sure. Anyway, now I'm off zoloft, off remeron, am taking lunesta or ambien for insomnia, but have never been tested to find out any "why". What kind of doctor can you go to to have hormonal issues tested? I've never had my head scanned for any answers for my chronic head aches...
I think my dr takes one look at me, yawns and says, "eh, insomnia, mood related" but it's been well over a year since I was able to fall asleep on my own, and stay asleep without medication.
My husband is afraid something is really wrong with me and is going undetected.
