Glydin, Lex users, I've restarted Lex

Posted by Colleen D. on February 23, 2006, at 18:59:29

and I want to know if anyone has started on 20mg straight away. I stopped it a month ago because I wasn't really feeling any relief from my depression.

I found out today that the public health service will not have an opening with a pdoc until 8 weeks from now. I will first have to see a therapist and then the pdoc. I planned to inquire about Prozac and Nardil then, but I couldn't wait that long to take something for my depression.

I decided to go back on the Lex, which BTW had no side effects for me at 10mg. I had even noticed an increase in libido while on it. Is Lex more associated with weight gain or loss? Is it known for prominent sexual side effects? The last two days I have felt comfortable in my skin, more social at work and way more patient with the children (in the middle of my PMS week from hell). Considering I came off a high dosage of Effexor, 300mg, perhaps I just need more than 10mg of Lex to feel an elevation in mood. I will keep you all posted. Any Lex advice is appreciated. I am taking it before bed and it even seems to be helping me feel less physical pain from my sciatica in the morning. I don't know if this is a coincidence, but I'm taking 2 Tramadol tabs too, and maybe the Tramadol has taken a month to get to a good level in my system.

Cheers,
Colleen
