I had the same problem with Parnate. Got a really nasty case of hives that still haven’t gone away. Apparently MAO inhibitors also inhibit M-methyltrasferase, the substance that clears histamine from the H1 receptors. You might try an oral anti-histamine. Doxepin is about the most potent anti-histamine available (800 times more powerful than Benedryl!). 10mg of doxepin before bedtime seems to have really helped.
