hey! Trileptal **can** help with anxiety but..if you're taking a benzo, I'm a little confused as to why she didn't just bump that up. I mean, the anti-anxiety effects of trileptal aren't as fast or potent as those of valium, and 15mgs/valium isnt very much at all (in the 70s, the standard dose was 30-40mgs). I dont know how you feel about other benzos but..for some reason, when docs prescribe drugs like Ativan or Klonopin, they'll RX more than they will of valium. For instance, lots of people take 2,3,4 mgs of Klonopin...thats the equivalent of 20,30,40mgs valium respectively. I think Valium just makes some docs nervous. Good luck!
