Oh, Link, I am sorry to hear that you have been doing badly. And, that is ridiculous that you have to wait 6 weeks for counselling sessions. Is that the only counsellor that is taking new patients? Maybe you could make some calls to other counsellors to see if there is one that could take you on as a patient and get you in sooner. Then, all you would have to do is tell your gp which counsellor you want to be referred to and get the referral, if that is necessary.

If you are sinking, then I would think you should be starting a med again. I wish you could come to my city (also Ontario) and see my pdoc. He is quite good. Always spends an entire hour with me (and all his patients), and discusses med options and other issues. He listens to suggestions, although he may not always agree to prescribe a suggested med. He is very reasonable. I wish you could find someone like that where you live.

Do you think you could get your pdoc to agree to prescribe Parnate? I think you mentioned that you had been on it before, but I can't remember how well it worked for you. And, I think Parnate can be somewhat effective for ADD.

If you are starting to feel suicidal again, then it is important that you either get in to see your pdoc asap or go to the hospital and try to see a new pdoc. You shouldn't have to suffer.

Try to hang in there, Link, and try to maintain some hope that you will get the help you deserve. My thoughts are with you.
