Nightmares as Risperdal dose is reduced?

My wife takes a very small dose (1/4 mg/day) of Risperdal for anxiety.

Recently she tried to reduce the dose by half, down to 1/8 mg/day and she is having nightmares.

Could the nightmares be caused by the reduction in dose of Risperdal? Has anyone else ever had this?
