Couldn't you take OTC melatonin?

I don't know if SAM-e increases melatonin, but if it did, and I was concerned about a decrease in melatonin, I'd take it because it's beneficial for your liver and helps with chronic pain. It is just a bit pricey though, and you do have to get a good brand.
