I take Adderall XR and at first I had too much and had that terrible depression you're talking about with the Dex. It was black and suicidal. I went off the Adderall for awhile and then tried again at 1/2 the dose, and it's fine, works really well for me. There's really no depression, other than the mild passing depression I normally go through, and a bit of anxiety when it wears off.

I agree though, this is no time to quit a med that you've been taking for a long time, cold turkey! Gosh, get yourself to a new p-doc. Sounds like the geriatric doc is not at all open minded. I found that my dad's geriatric p-doc was that way. Guess when you work with geriatrics you're used to calling all the shots.
Too bad for the people they're treating!

How much Adderall were you Rx'd and is it XR (capsules) or regular (pills)?
