As I understand it, serotonin has mood stabilizing properties. Norepenephrine tends to cause cycling. In general. Perhaps it is because serotonin causes a balance with, or lowering, of dopamine? I'm not sure.
But it's definately something I felt. Especially more in the more selective SSRIs.
Still, I don't think it compares to a strong mood stabilizer like an antipsychotic.
