change in dose/brand of lithium increase appetite?

Hi,

My doc was alarmed that the 600 mgs of lithium which was showing up as .6 in my blood tests came back as "barely perceptible" this time round. So, he changed my doseage to 900 mgs and changed the rx to eskalith.

Is it possible that this is the reason that I want to eat everything, all the time? Does doseage or formulation change one's desire for food?
