Hi:
In my 'own/personal' journey on Bipolar, ... it's easy to say, 'You seem NOT to have Bipolar.' Particularly, I heard from my parents, not my Mom but from my Dad. Only my sibling got a good grip on my Bp symtoms and suggested me to seek a help I needed badly. He wanted to deny my 'mental' illness due to its 'impact,' although there is a trait of mental illness in my both families. Not any of my immediate members, but a way back to my 'great' grandmother whom I never met.

Then, you need to listen your pdoc., not your parents, because they might want to see you being 'NORMAL,' without having Bipolar.
H.G.
