I'm on Cymbalta 30mg, Provigil 100mg, and Wellbutrin XL which we've just upped to 300mg as of today. The Cymbalta was nice enough, but didn't do much for my depression and left me totally lethargic and amotivated. When Wellbutrin was added, my depression lifted in about a week! Seriously, within about a week I went from very depressed to singing off key and out of tune in the morning as I cooked breakfast.
Now if only they'd come up with an antidepressant that could make me sing on key, eh?
I've gained 35 pounds since I started taking it, but then again I'm also being treated for anorexia, so that's alleged to be a good thing... (Don't ask me what I think about that, 'K?)
Anyway, although I am also dx'd with anxiety, I have been warned repeatedly that it can make that worse. What I'm aware of, though, is that since my depression is better, and since I'm not impersonating a slug, my anxiety is actually reduced -- probably because I can channel the energy that would feed the anxiety into doing something useful, you know?
Hope that helps.
