> Okay, I talked to my pdoc on the phone this afternoon and she is switching me directly from 20 mg. Lexapro over to Cymbalta. I will be taking 30 mg. for the first week at bedtime, and then increasing to 60 mg. the second week. I'm pretty excited--I can't wait to see if this will make a difference. Can anyone tell me what I can expect? Things have been SOOOO rough for me lately in terms of apathy, lethargy, overeating, and nervous anxiety. She said that most of her patients have done well with Cymbalta, but I've seen mixed reviews on this board. What are your experiences? Please give me hope! Thanks to all, Jess
I am just beginning on Cymbalta, so I am not a yes or no, yet, 'tho I'm very positive in my attitude about it. I have a history of being very sensitive to meds of all kinds, so began on 10mg/day [had to divide from capsules into plain capsules] and now am up to 20mg/day without any ill effects. I think that sometimes the pdocs are so eager to help us that they increase some of us too swiftly. If you have any question at any time of increase, don't hesitate to talk to your doc, please.
Hope we feel better than we ever have in our life on it! U'n'D
