Hi Nick!
Hyponatremia is a abnormally low concentration of sodium in the blood. It will show up on a standard blood test called U&Es (urea and electrolytes). Mild hyponatremia is common with Trileptal, it doesn't usually cause any symptoms. Severe hyponatremia is uncommon with Trileptal but can cause lethargy, confusion and seizures. If any of these symptoms occur, it is important to do a blood test and to correct the hyponatremia if it is present.
Kind regards,
Ed.
