I fly out tomorrow morning, so I thought I'd check this one last time after I got packed and my kiddos in bed.

You know what calamityjane, I think there can definitely be a link of being spiritually oppressed when we are actively trying to seek after God.

If you think of it simply, God is good. Satan is not. If you are out to get to know God and desire to be near to Him, the bad guy (satan) will get jealous and will come after you. He will use any tactic he can use, depression, anxiety, addiction, etc..

That's his job- to keep you from knowing the real, loving, true God.

NOW... if you have done all you know to do in the "spirit" realm to fight back on his attacks on you- you have prayed the scriptures, been prayed over by other believers, you stay in God's word and believe it, etc.. and you continue to battle.. Then I would then say that possibly it is not a spiritual battle, but more of a physical problem..

I think for me, it has been both. I think I had a physical reaction that satan used against me because I was weak and did his best to get my eyes off of God and onto my illness.

When I could stand before God and KNOW that I had fought this battle WITH EVERYTHING I had within me spiritually speaking, and saw that I was NOT getting better. I knew it was okay with God for me to go to the "natural" and seek help from doctor's.

Remember, Christ chose 12 disciples, Luke was one of them and he was a doctor. So Jesus has nothing against doctor's.

There will be times in this life, in this world, while we are in these natural bodies that no matter how much we love God and serve Him, we will get sick, weak, down, and depressed. Christ never promised a care free life. He just promised that He had conquered this "world" that we see with our physical eyes and that we can hold on with HOPE knowing there is so much more than just "this."

He has a place prepared for us that will never require us to see a doctor, a psychiatrist, or a counselor.

We will never worry, have anxiety, panic attacks, have depression, or feel down.

So I believe as long as your hope remains in Christ, you can use medicine to help yourself feel better.. Sometimes, feeling better physically will make a huge difference in how you feel spiritually.

He knows your heart. He sees your desire to know Him. That's what He's concerned about, not about if you use medicine or not.

((hugs)))
