> i take remeron in addition to zoloft. apart from helping me sleep (and thus calming me down generally) i haven't been able to figure out if it's brain chemistry alterations are really tangible. i know that i prefer to be on it, but is it really that effective as an AD? is a lower dose more effective or a higher (i know that its sedating features increase when the dosage is lowered).
I don't know of any reason why you would not want to target 45mg or higher of Remeron. Just watch for serotonin syndrome (a seemingly paradoxical effect from such a combination) as there are several anecdotal reports on Medline regarding the combinations of Remeron with an SSRI or lithium.
Wait for some more responses. Hopefully, someone will have personal experience with the combination.
