Trazodone works very well for sleep. It's better than Tylenol PM or Benadryl or benzos because it doesn't collapse your sleep architecture--it even helps you reach the deeper stages of sleep. It goes well with SSRIs, which can disrupt your sleep architecture. When I started it, I was absolutely amazed by how much better I felt the following day.
I take 50 or 100 mg every night, depending on how wide awake I am when it's time to sleep. When I first started, I had dry mouth in the mornings, but that went away with time.
