Hi:
Probably, ... your pdoc. thinks you have ADD/ADHD due to the depression, not ADD/ADHD itself. Often, one of depressive symtoms is 'concentration' problem along with several others, such as 'saddness,' 'lack of motivation' 'worthless/hopeless,' 'sleep-problem,' 'irritability,' and few more other depressive symtpoms.I'm guessting, the reason behing the WB rx is the WB is much milder form of stimulant in comparison to the Ritalin which is 'pure' stimulant. In my knowledge along with the personal experience, most of pdocs. are VERY cautious to rx Ritalin and other 'stimulant' to those who have depressive episodes. Partly, they think the Ritlain has a negative effect on your depression, ... in other word, exacerbation the depression due to 'activation/stimulation' in your system.
