Why no alcohol on Effexor?

Hi all,

I've been looking for a good reason not to drink while on Effexor, but can't find anything. Everything I see just says "don't drink alcohol while taking Effexor" but it doesn't say why. Are there compounding effects on one's liver? Does it make you freak out? I've had a couple of drinks since starting the Effexor and I've only noticed that I don't feel the alcohol much (maybe that's the problem - it makes you drink more than you would otherwise?).

Any info is welcome.
