My daughter was taking 400mg of topamax for bipolar II and it was helping her mooods somewhat before she was taken off last this week. She has been taken off from hair loss, and put on Trileptal. I also take Topamax, and take 125mg at the moment. I think it's helping me, at least I'm not yelling at the people at drive-through windows these days. My moods are much calmer, but I am also taking Zoloft as well. I was never in a stupor, but I titrated up VERY slowely, and that's important. You will find that out through the posts you get on this board. Most doctors don't tell you to go up very slowely. Mine did not, I was told to do so by the good people on this board and followed the advice. Wise advice. I'm really thankful I did, because for the both of us. I think we added 25mg every one or two weeks, I can't remember. I'm still at the same dosage for a while, and not increasing right now. Good luck -L
