Cymbalta withdrawal?

Posted by crazypumpkin on January 13, 2005, at 17:21:53

evening all.
i'm wondering if what i've been feeling lately is a result of cymbalta withdrawal.
i wasn't on cymbalta for all that long. maybe 2 1/2 months. but due to massive night sweats that were severely disrupting my sleep, my doctor and i agreed to knock down my dosage from 60mg to 30mg. do the 30mg for a week and then stop taking the med altogether. antidepressants were supposed to be a short term boost to help me, so i wasn't too concerned about not being on anything any more.

going down to 30 didn't do much. but within a few days of stopping the cymbalta, the night sweats got better. but i'm still getting them, and i've been off of cymbalta for a week now.
i'm also feeling 'off'. i only have one other instance in my life to relate this to, and that was my attempt at taking wellbutrin (which made me very manic). i don't feel manic right now, but i do feel the shakiness of it and the weird loopiness in my head that i remember having with the wellbutrin. could this be me still withdrawing from the cymbalta? how long does withdrawal from cymbalta take? can i expect my night sweats to fully stop sometime soon?

thanks for any help anyone can give me.
