In reply to NMDA antagonists WHO CAN HELP ??, posted by linkadge on December 31, 2004, at 19:15:05
The drug - "Namenda" is a partial (non competative) NMDA antagonist currently under studies for so many diseases (organic and mental) that I can't even list them all. It has a good saftey profile as well. Google search or groups, or boards will provide lots of information on Namenda.
I would suggest augmentation or a trial of it for certain conditions.
It has cured or remissed people with fibromyglia according some reports.
It is currently approved for Alzhierms , recently gaining asd the #1 treatment.
As far as phsycosis or schizophrenia, I am fairly certain that genetics combined with chronic viral or bacteral infections normally in humans disrupts the brain in time causing these things.
I know considerable information on NMDA, GABA, DOPAMINE and NOREP connections in the brain and suspected disorder causes. babblemail or respond and i will try to answer 1 question @ a time.
Hope this helps.
