Hi there!
I am glad to hear that Zonegran is helping you. I mentioned it to my doctor because the Topomax is really burning my cognition. Also, the pins and needles are getting worse with time. But my primary concern is that it has really messed with my memory.
Problem is that he has never used Zonegran for psychiatric purposes and wants to research it more before putting me on it. But he doesn't have a lot of time and I would feel better if I could just present him with information. However, I cannot find comprehensive info on Zonegran. Is there a support group online that you know of? Or a really good Zonegran website?
Also, did you have more weight loss with Topomax or Zonegran?
Thanks so much for your time!
Jen

> My hair is thinning very much (a side effect of both Topomax and Zonegran), but I would rather be bald than have 4-5 migraines a week. Some people use Biotin for their hair and it supposedly helps. My salon lady said use Powerplus Shampoo products and it rejuvenates the hair at the root.
> Drink lots of water on either med. Overall, Zonegran users have less side effects that Topomax users and they have usually started out on Topomax. Most side effect, i.e., excessive tiredness go away around 4-6 weeks, but my appetite is still far less than when I wasn't on anything.
