Nardil vs. Parnate

Posted by Dan Perkins on November 12, 2004, at 18:21:57

I have tried Parnate and have had some moderate success on it at a dose of 70mg, but efficacy seemed to fade and it seemed to leave some areas of my depression unadressed.

It seems that Parnate is the MAOI of choice, having fewer side effects than Nardil, working better on social anxiety (according to my pdoc) and more effective in general (in my pdoc's experience).

Has anyone tried Parnate then switched to Nardil? If so, how do they compare and might Nardil work really well for me if Parnate didn't?

Thanks
