Any Information on atypical antisychotics needed.

Posted by BRC on October 27, 2004, at 14:10:08

Hi, I know that medication varies from person to person. But I posted earlier about constant racing thoughts. I researched and found that atypical antisychotics help with thought disorders and some of the posters agreed.

I asked my pdoc about placing me on one last week at my visit, but he refused.

I take Lexapro, Remeron, and Klonopin.

My question is how does an antipsycotic make you feel. Does it just eliminate the thoughts. Or does it kind of sedate you and make you feel out of it.

I ask this because I am seriously considering going back to my doctor and demanding help because I canntot tolerate this anymore.

But the idea of the word antipsychotic medication scares me. And my doctor said that they could carry long term nuerological effects.

Any info would help. Thanks

BRC
