Hi Nick,

It's not clear from your original post whether your girlfriend is on Neurontin for actual seizures or whether this is for some off-label use. If the former, Wellbutrin might not be such a good idea, as I believe it lowers the threshhold for having a seizure. But presumably her pdoc would know definitively.

Also, it doesn't always do the trick I was anorgasmic on a Wellbutrin+Celexa combo. I actually rushed to get off meds entirely, which proved a bad move, as I headed into a deeply anxious depression. So, I commend you for putting your girlfriends overarching mental health first!

I currently take BuSpar. I've never taken it with an SSRI, so I don't know how it would work there. It helped with some sexual dysfunction I was experiencing on Serzone. And now taking it more or less by itself, I've found it to be very prosexual.

And, as people have posted in this thread there are other possibilities either as adjuncts or main-line therapy.

Good luck with everything!

Buspar is indicated for GAD but at some higher doses (40-60 mg a day) can help depression. Buspar acts on serotonin, the same chemical that Lexapro affects.
