Hi:
I wonder why your pdoc. did NOT put you on one of anti-psycho. meds., such as Zyprexa, Geodon, Risperdal and few more newer ones. Rapid Cycler is said to be one of 'manic' symptoms, which requires most likely aggressive treatment. In my case, Zyprexa has been a 'WONDER/miracle' med.Lithium is so to speak, a conventional and traditional 'mood stabilizer,' but in terms of 'rapid cycler,' it does NOT offer significant efficacy. Tegretol is a 'plain' mood-stabilizer, not for 'rapid cycler.' Depakote has 'some' efficacy for 'rapid cycler,' but not quite enough, or simply not strong enough.
In my suggestion, talk to your pdoc. in regard to anti-psycho.med. at your next appt.
H.G.
