I would venture to guess that your birth control is contributing somewhat to your negative feelings. If you were feeling wonderful on effexor, why did you go off of it? I think effexor is a wonderful drug and swore I would never go off of it. However, lately I have felt the urge to try to see what life would be like without it. Today is my 2nd day in weaning myself off from effexor. I was taking 150 mg a day, but cut my dose in half starting yesterday. I've gained a ton of weight the last couple of years and want to see if I have more energy without it. When I started effexor, I was in a miserable marriage with 2 toddlers. Now, I'm single and managing well on my own and my kids are not so dependent on me. I am feeling slightly dizzy and foggy-headed, but it's only at home. I take the 75 mg in the am before work, so I can maintain normalcy there. I'll keep you posted.
