> But he never complained and he never threatened to do this. I am out of Lexapro and he said have the pharmacy call him and when I got to pharmacy they said he won't do it untill I see him. I talked to his assistant earlier and she said this wed or sep 20th and I saqid is it ok if I come sep 20th bc I'm so busy at work and she said yes. Anyway, he did say have the cvs call him then he told them no and went home. Why would he do this? Is it a time period law thing or isa he trying to punish me by denying me the medication he prescribed which by the way is very dangerous to stop in one day as he apparently is doing to me. I don't understand it.
IMO, his behavior is inexcusable and certainly not in the best interest of his patient, which unfortunately happens to be you. It is not as if you're taking a stimulant or a benzo, but rather, an innocuous SSRI which any GP would probably be willing to give you a prescription for. If he were truly concerned about your welfare, a better solution would have been to call in just a one month's prescription to give you time to go in and see him.I don't have these kinds of problems with my pdoc, who is generous about writing refills and has never been forceful about having me come back to see him in a certain period of time other than in those instances when I was clearly not doing very well, and he felt a need to keep tabs on my condition. His decisions always seem to be based on what he feels is in my best interest, as does my GP's. These guys aren't fancy private practice doctors but work for a large clinic. If I all of a sudden became a zillionaire, I would still keep seeing both of them.
