I tried Zoloft and Paxil and the Wellbutrin trial. Because my problem was really more anxiety based, as opposed to the depression end, it was decided to use something that was solely a "calm down" chemical. To tell the truth, as awful as things were, I was so leery of trying anything, talking me into the Klonopin was difficult. This gun shyness over meds was probably very much based on my anxiety. I had just had a difficult time with med trials.

In terms of my discontinuing, I was very much improved and functioning well. Klonopin after 2 years had caused, and I stress this was minor, a little problem with short term memory, retention, and some mild depressive symptoms. Again, nothing awful, but coupled with doing so well, my doc and I decided to give weaning to off might be possible. I would not hesitate to restart it if my situation changed.
