I generally think it's a bad idea to add one drug to counteract a negative side effect from another. Many people, myself included, have had better experiences with the pharmacologically similar TCA's desipramine and nortriptyline. Desipramine is more effective for ADD and more stimulating, while nortriptyline is more sedating and possibly a more effective antidepressant. If sleep is not a problem for you, I would recommend trying desipramine and you can always add Provigil or another stimulant later. These TCA's generate much fewer complaints of fatigue on this board.
