In reply to Serzone to be discontinued - Yahoo news headline, posted by SLS on May 19, 2004, at 17:47:38
I was expecting this, but it came a little sooner than I predicting.
I hope that Public Citizen other groups making a lot of noise over Serzone keep quiet enough that the generics aren't forced off the market. They're already making noise about them.
Serzone was great for me in combo with Provigil, and my liver tests came out *better* when I was taking it.
Serzone continues to be a life-saver for a friend after failed trials almost every other AD. She has no side effects at all. As a bonus it normalizes her high blood pressure. She's distraught at the thought that it might be taken off the market.
On a per-user basis, chronic use of cigarettes and alcohol (as widely abused) are much, much, much, riskier than theraputic doses of Serzone.
