Hi there-

I have used propanolol 120mgs, in 3 40mg. doses, alongside clonazepam 2 to 4 mgs. daily prn., for about 5 yrs. with no negative results. My p-doc allows me to 'play' with the dosages, so I am able to lower the daily allowances if I do not need them.

The clonazepam quiets my head, while the propanolol is superb for treating my most prominent physical anxiety symptom-a tight, squeezing pressure-pain which grips my chest. I have had the cardio tests-negative-So i am very familiar with this dreadful feeling. I also have GAD, ADD and recurrent depressive illness...all of which are factors contributing to my hypersensitivity to any type of stress.

Using the propanolol manages my physical symptoms in a way that no benzo can. But, I also require the clonazepam for 'brain/thought' tuning & coping. My Lex is very helpful here, too.
I'm sure if I did not have my propanolol, I wd. be grasping at higher doses of benzos, analgesics, AD's & whatnot in order to attain the effect these little beta-blockers seem to do effortlessly.

blue skies, nothin' but blue skies.........
