Can you ask to try another benzo?..valium did nothing for anxiety for me.
Docs give klonopin in uk on nhs..
There's also lorazepam it's stronger than valium...but may make you really sleepy.
If you get on with your doc ask about xanax--don't know uk name for it-- your nhs doc can prescripe it here in uk but only on a private prescription.
Anxiety in my case isn't eased by benzo's ...just makes me very depressed and crave booze
