Because I know you guys just can't get enough!
I've been on Effexor XR 75 mg for five weeks and I am SOOOOOOO tired and unmotivated that it's starting to make me feel miserable. I don't know if this goes away over time or what, but for the time being all I feel is a numb, empty dragginess. It's better than despair, but it's not worth it if it's going to continue like this.
I saw my GP yesterday and she gave me a prescription for 150 mg. She isn't a psychiatrist (and I have an appointment to see one, but the earliest I could get in was mid-May!), so she didn't have a lot of advice for me. She told me to take 2 75 mg capsules at once until that bottle runs out and then to fill the 150 mg prescription.
Is this okay to do? Should I continue on the Effexor? I've been on Prozac and Zoloft in the past and NEVER felt this debilitating fatigue--and Wellbutrin caused a lot of cognitive disability for me (difficulty with words) as well as anxiety like I'd never felt before.
HELP! I can't stand feeling like this! Lack of motivation/inability to work has been one of the most consistently troubling aspects of my depression and a medicine that elevates these problems is definitely not for me. Does anyone have advice?
Thanks all!
