Hi:
I just wonder what dosage you're on? Because, if you started at around 200 mg., it might cause this form of problem, 'shake like a leaf.'
Normally, most of time, WB's starting dosage is around 100 mg., less or more that all depends on your raction to WB.
Besides this above, a new form of WB, called 'Wellbutrin XL' is less 'side effect.' In my case, I've been on around 300 mg. since the fall of 2001 along with other med., due to Bipolar II. For me, WB offers me a great deal of relief, ... not perfect, but functionable enough to lead everyday's life. I can read pretty well. Before WB, I was unable to concentrate on any of the reading.

In regard to your question whether it getting smoother as time goes by, ... in my case, I recall it took about several months. Because, in my guess, WB is a kind 'stimulant' AD class med., then this sti. effects your nervous system that causing 'shaking,' 'muscle twiches' and the like. WB is one of terrific meds., but if you have any nervous and muscularskeletal related problems, your system might show more severe reaction to WB. First, you might be ascertain whether your system withstands stimulating effect from WB.
H.G.
