I had been on paxil, then switched to zoloft (paxil helped, but caused bad side effects). Shortly after that I ended up moving, and quit antidepressants altogether. A few months later I went to my new doctor, and he started me on lexapro 10mg, then bumped me to 20mg.

I'm curious if it's advisable to substitute one drug with another temporarily (in this case, substituting lexapro with zoloft) to combat withdrawal effects.
