I would second, third and fourth Althea's advice: Effexor gets a bad rap on these boards because it's generally only the people with bad experiences that post. I've been on it since September and it's done wonderful things for my depression and ability to control my thoughts. The side effect do mostly go away, so hang in there...

Hoping in a couple of weeks I'll feel better but am told I'll be up to 150mg by that time. All these postings are really scaring the hell out of me and I'm wondering if anyone has anything positive to say. Is there anyone who has not had those horrible side effects??
