Would someone be able to back me up on this? I've never seen more than about a 10% price increase per year on Parnate.
I live overseas, and so I ask my close friend in the U.S. to get a price quote from a local independent pharmacy around L.A.,--which has always had rock-bottom prices-- then I pick up the meds when I visit.
He just informed me that they quoted close to $900
for 1200 tablets (one year supply). If my records are correct, this is about a 40% increase over last year. I'm going to have him check with Walgreens to see what their price is, but meanwhile, could anyone who has taken Parnate at least since last year tell me if this is for real?? A 40% price increase on a drug that hardly anyone takes anymore? We all know that the drug companies are gouging left and right, and perhaps Glaxo Smith Kline has decided that it's the Parnate consumers' turn to get ripped off.Any helpful feedback would be much appreciated.
